The US M3A1 was a light armored vehicle used by the Allied forces during World War II. Recognized for its versatility, it was used for patrols, transport and reconnaissance. It was equipped with machine guns, and its design allowed fast and agile operations in diverse and complicated terrain.

With the “Lend-Lease” laws passed during the conflict by the US Congress, the M3A1 was supplied to the various allied armies and remained active until the end of the conflict.
