Description

The SS Division Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler (LAH) was one of the elite units of the Waffen-SS during World War II. Founded in 1933 as a security unit to protect Hitler, it evolved into an elite combat division. The LAH participated in numerous battles and campaigns, including Poland, France, the Balkans and the Eastern Front (where it fought in the last major German offensive in the east, during the Battle of Kursk).
