Description
The Taszkient was a destroyer built by the Red Army in the 1930s and active during World War II. The Taszkient was assigned to the Black Sea Fleet where, in the spring of 1942, she saw prominent action in the siege of Sevastopol, first bombarding German positions ashore and then participating in the evacuation of the city from which she managed to rescue 2,300 people.
Finally the Taszkient was sunk in July 1942.
