Description

The S-300V is an air defense missile system developed for the attack of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, early warning or electronic warfare aircraft. This defensive system was specially designed to counter the threat of U.S. Lance and Pershing missiles.

The S-300V system was implemented during the 1980s, before the fall of the Soviet Union, and has been active until today, when Russia has announced the replacement of the S-300V with the new modernized S-400 model.

The S-300V missiles have a range of 100 km and could reach targets at an altitude of 30 km.
