The Universal Carrier MkII (Universal Carrier) entered the assembly lines at the end of 1942 as an evolution of the “Universal Carrier MKI” and the “Bren Carrier MkI”. The new MkII included some design improvements, the hull was welded and waterproof, the fenders had been modified and there were other small differences from previous models.
About 100,000 “Carrier” units were built throughout the war, so that by the end of the conflict most of the mechanized units had this type of model in their units.
