The F4U Corsair was a fighter developed by the United States that fought in World War II and the Korean War. It was powered by a powerful 2000 horsepower radial engine and its silhouette was easy to distinguish due to its distinctive inverted gull wings.
The kit reproduced by Tamiya first entered in the summer of 1943, had a longer seat, as well as its tail, and an improved cockpit. The model includes parts for 1000 lb. pumps, external fuel tanks and pilot figures. It also includes decals for two different models.
