The Loockheed F-104 “Starfighter” has been one of the best known fighters in aviation history, possibly due to its long operational life. The aircraft became operational in the mid-1950s and has continued in service with some air forces until well into the 2000s.

The aerodynamic design of this aircraft was revolutionary, it was characterized by a slender fuselage, with very clipped wings that made it especially agile in offensive and defensive maneuvers. The TF-104 G version, reproduced in this Italeri model, is the two-seat trainer aircraft, for many years this aircraft has been used to train many NATO fighter pilots.
