The iconic Spitfire Mk I, with its sleek nose and elliptical wings, epitomized the British defense during the Battle of Britain in 1940. Equipped with a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, it reached speeds of up to 590 km/h and had a wingspan of 11 meters.
