The 80 mm heavy rocket launcher vehicle Sd.Kfz. 4/1 was a mobile firing system created by the German Army on the basis of the Opel Maultier half-track.
These vehicles were inspired by the famous Soviet Katyusha rocket launchers which, because of the recognizable noise they made when fired, were known as “Stalin’s Organs”. The SS units to which Sd.Kfz. 4/1 began to call this the “Himmler Organ”.
