Description
The siege of Korsun (Ukraine) was the encirclement of the German Group of Southern Armies by the 1st and 2nd Ukrainian Front near the Dnieper River. The battle took place during the first months of 1944 and resulted in a hard and bloody battle with thousands of casualties on both sides.
