Description

The Commonwealth, also known as the Commonwealth of Nations, is an international organization composed of 54 independent countries that have a historical connection to the United Kingdom. It was founded in 1931 and is based in London. Commonwealth member countries share common values, such as democracy, human rights, the rule of law and equality.

Although each country is independent and sovereign, they are committed to cooperate on political, economic, cultural and social issues.
