The Sd. Kfz. 234/1 Schwerer Schwerer Panzerspähwagen was an armored reconnaissance vehicle used by the German army during World War II.
Part of the Sd. Kfz. 234, the 234/1 was equipped with a 20 mm KwK 38 automatic cannon and an MG 34 machine gun, which gave it effective firepower against infantry and light vehicles.
Its design, with a 12-cylinder V12 Tatra engine and four-wheel drive, gave it great mobility in various terrains, which was crucial for reconnaissance missions.
Introduced in 1944, the Sd. Kfz. 234/1 was used mainly on the Western Front and in Italy, where its speed and all-terrain capability were highly valued.
Although not heavily armored, its main function was to scout and provide tactical information, avoiding direct combat with heavier enemy forces.
Its production was limited due to scarce resources and the war situation in Germany in the final stage of the war. Includes photoengraving and complete interior
