The DAC Mk II (Daimler Armoured Car Mk II) is a British armored vehicle developed during World War II. Introduced in 1941, this vehicle was an evolution of the DAC Mk I, with improvements in design and performance. Designed by the Daimler company, the Mk II had a robust and versatile structure and was one of the most efficient reconnaissance vehicles of its time.
The DAC Mk II was equipped with a Daimler 6-cylinder engine and a power of 95 horsepower, which allowed it to reach a top speed of 80 km/h. Its main armament consisted of a 2-pounder (40 mm) cannon and a 7.92 mm Besa coaxial machine gun, providing effective combat capability against light vehicles and enemy troops.
During its service, the DAC Mk II was used in various theaters of operations, including North Africa and Europe, excelling in reliability and maneuverability in difficult terrain. Its armor, although light, offered adequate protection for reconnaissance and patrol missions.
