Description

The C8 4×4 (Beutewagen) was an originally Canadian artillery tractor captured by German forces during World War II.
These vehicles, nicknamed“Beutewagen” (captured vehicles), were reused by the Germans to tow anti-tank guns such as the 7.5 cm PaK 40.
The C8, with 4WD, was ideal for moving artillery in difficult terrain.
Its ruggedness and ability to transport ammunition and personnel made it a valuable asset to the Germans, especially when their own towing vehicles were in short supply.
