The Tiger I was a heavy tank of the German army during World War II. It was developed in response to the first encounters that German tanks had with the Soviets during operation Barbarossa (summer of 1941) where it became clear that the panzers needed significant improvements in armor and armament.
1,350 Tiger I were manufactured from its entry into production in 1942 until 1944 and was present in all the scenarios where the German army fought, demonstrating its excellent performance.
