The Great Britain developed in the interwar period a new medium tank with official designation A9 but known by the over-name of “Cruiser tank”. The tactical idea of use for this tank was based on speed, over passing the enemy’s lines and attacking their nerve centers.
An evolution of the A9, was the Cruiser A10 (also called MkIa. or Cruiser II) which was provided with greater armor and whose initial mission was to serve as a support tank for the infantry.
