Description

Mortars became indispensable infantry weapons during World War II due to their robustness, ease of handling, ease of transport and concentration of firepower that other light infantry weapons could hardly reach.

The Type 34 was the standard mortar of the German army, it had a caliber of 8cm and could fire projectiles of up to 3.5kg at distances that could vary between 60 meters and 2,400 meters.

This Tamiya kit represents a basic platoon for a mortar unit, it is composed of a platoon leader, gunner, loader and an ammunition carrier.
