The ICM box includes a Parisian cab, cab driver and 3 French infantrymen in uniform and equipment from the early part of the war.

During the Battle of the Marne in 1914, Parisian cabs were mobilized to quickly transport troops to the front line. More than 600 cabs were pressed into service to transport French soldiers to the front, marking a key moment in the rapid mobilization of troops. This action symbolized French determination and innovation in World War I, enabling a rapid response against the German advance. Although its actual impact on the battle is debated, the “cabs de la Marne” remains an iconic symbol of wartime civilian mobilization and national unity in France.
