Description
The UE Chenillette was a tankette produced by the French company Renault during the 1930s and used by the French during World War II.
The initial idea with which this vehicle was conceived was not intended to be armed, however, the rapid deterioration of the situation on the front during the Battle of France (May 1940) generated that the French General Staff requested the Renault company to build some prototypes where a rectangular armored structure was mounted, through which a machine gun could be fired by the commander of the same (the crew of the UE Chenillette was 2 people: driver and commander).
