Soviet BT light tanks were produced in large numbers throughout most of the 1930s. They were fast, maneuverable and reasonably well armed battle tanks, their weakest point was clearly their lack of armor.
BT-6s saw action during the Spanish Civil War, other BT versions performed to some extent during the early years of the war on the Eastern Front, although they were gradually replaced by the T-34 medium tanks.
