The Toldi III was a Hungarian light tank of World War II, built to the design of the Swedish Landswerk L 60 tank.
There were three versions of Toldi:
Toldi I, armed with a 20 mm cannon.
Toldi II, which had increased frontal armor and was fitted with a 40 mm cannon.
Toldi III, with a very low production level of only 12 units and even more reinforced armor.
The Toldi served in the Yugoslavia campaign and during Operation Barbarossa, in the invasion of the USSR. When confronted by Soviet tanks, it became evident that the Toldi I was not sufficiently well armed or protected, hence the development of the later versions
