The Valentine Mk II was a British infantry tank used extensively in World War II. This version, produced from 1940 onwards, stood out for its improved armor and its ability to operate in various terrains, making it one of the most reliable vehicles for infantry support missions. Equipped with a 131 horsepower AEC diesel engine, it reached a maximum speed of 24 km/h, suitable for advancing with the troops in combat. Its main armament was a 2-pounder (40 mm) cannon, complemented by a 7.92 mm Besa coaxial machine gun. Despite its limitations in firepower and mobility compared to other tanks of the time, the Valentine Mk II was valued for its ruggedness and reliability. It was deployed in North Africa and on the Eastern Front, being used by the Red Army under the Lend-Lease program. The total production of the Valentine models exceeded 8,000 units, consolidating it as one of the most manufactured and used British tanks during the conflict.
