The A27L Centaur (also known by the nickname Cromwell II) was a British cruiser type battle tank, designed during World War II (in 1942). Unlike its twin brother Cromwell, the Centaur had a Liberty L12 engine that was not powerful enough, so it was discarded for front line combat and was relegated as a training vehicle or converted into a tracked vehicle for other missions (such as the bulldozer that we see in this excellent IBG 1/72 reproduction).
