The Sopwith 1 ½ Strutter was a World War I two-seat fighter produced by the British, it has the undisputed honor of having been the first aircraft built that synchronized the firing of its machine gun with the pitch of the propeller.
The first Sopwith made its first flight in mid-December 1916 by was in service until the end of the war.
