Description

The SU-85 was a Soviet-made tank destroyer used by the Red Army during World War II.

The development of this vehicle took place from the year 43, from the chassis of the T34, to which the turret was replaced by a fixed armored structure on which was mounted the 88mm D-5S cannon.

The SU-85 proved to be an effective weapon although its gun was not powerful enough to penetrate the armor of German heavy tanks.
