The M4 was a U.S.-made half-track used by the Allies during World War II. The main mission of the M4 was to transport a heavy 81 mm mortar, it had a very limited personnel carrying capacity (only 3 men), with the idea mainly to be able to move the weapon and its ammunition to the battlefield. More than 500 M4 units were built during 1942.
