Description

The Aichi M6A1 Seiran, a World War II Japanese reconnaissance and attack aircraft, was noted for its innovative design. Designed to be launched from submarines, this folding seaplane allowed surprise attacks, was equipped with a piston engine and its folding structure made it unique.

He participated in the air attack plan against the Panama Canal in 1944. Although its combat use was limited, its visionary design and adaptation to submarine tactics distinguish it as a peculiar contribution to the history of Japanese naval aviation.
