The Panzir-S1 is a self-propelled air defense system used by the Russian Army. Its design began in 1994 and its deployment became effective in 2010.

This type of vehicle is designed to provide coverage to civilian or military areas that are under the threat of any type of bombing that may currently exist. It is equipped with radars, rapid-fire cannons and radio-controlled guided missiles.
