The Marder I was a German light tank destroyer designed after the invasion of the USSR by the Nazis in 1941. The Marder I used the chassis of the French “Tracteaur blinde 37L”, which, like many other French war vehicles, had fallen into the hands of the Germans after the capitulation of France in June 1940, on this chassis was mounted the 75mm PaK 40 L/46 anti-tank gun.
The Marder I weighed 8 tons, had a crew of 4-5, 12 mm armor, 70 hp DelaHaye 103TT engine that allowed it to reach a top speed of 38 km/h.
