The Rheintochter I anti-aircraft rocket was an air defense system developed by the Germans during World War II. It was designed to intercept enemy aircraft at high altitude and had a range of up to 13 kilometers.
The Rheintochter I was equipped with a radio seeker to guide it to its target and a high explosive warhead, however, its complexity and production cost limited its production and battlefield use, and only a few units were built before the program was cancelled. Although the Rheintochter I did not have a significant impact on the war, its technology was an important contribution to the development of modern missiles.
