The Maus tank is a vehicle conceived within the idea, promoted by Adolf Hitler himself, that German panzers should be increasingly larger and heavier, i.e., they should concentrate more firepower and more efficient armor.
The Maus was never mass produced, although the project for its construction was taken up and abandoned on several occasions, but two prototypes were built, one of which survived the conflict and was captured by the Soviets.
