The PanzerJäger I (translated from German: “tank hunter”) was the first version of the German tank destroyer used in World War II. Its production was based on the Panzer I chassis with the turret replaced by a fixed structure, uncovered at the rear, and fitted with a 47 mm anti-tank gun.
