Description
The Panzer III Ausf L was one of the last models of this tank to enter production (650 units of this variant were built). At the beginning of World War II, the Panzer III was a medium tank whose main mission was to fight with enemy tanks, thus becoming the spearhead of the German armored units. However, the technical advances that took place throughout the war left this tank outdated.
The L version mounted a 50 mm KwK 39 L/60 cannon and increased its frontal armor with an extra 20 mm thick steel plate.
