The Panzer I Ausf B was a light tank used by German forces during World War II. This armored vehicle had distinctive characteristics that differentiated it from its predecessor, the Panzer I Ausf A. Weighing approximately 5 tons, the Ausf B was equipped with a 20 mm KwK 30 automatic cannon and a 7.92 mm MG34 machine gun, its crew consisted of two members: the driver and the commander. Although its armor was limited, with only 13 mm in its frontal part, the Panzer I Ausf B stood out for its mobility and agility in the battlefield, it was destined mainly as a training and reconnaissance vehicle. Despite its limitations, the Panzer I Ausf B played an important role in the early stages of the war and paved the way for Germany’s development of more advanced tanks.
