The Panzer I was the first battle tank built in series by the Germans during the interwar period. With the signing of the Treaty of Versailles after the end of World War I, the Germans had serious limitations to develop their armored units, aircraft or ships, this situation took a 180º turn when the Nazis came to power in the early 1930s.
The Panzer I was a light, weakly armed and poorly protected tank that by the beginning of World War II was already outdated. This fact caused many of these vehicles to be transformed, one of these transformations was the one that mounted a 15cm diameter howitzer on a fixed armored structure that replaced the original turret of the tank. This variant, presented in this Dragon model at 1/35 was called Panzer I Ausf B 15 cm sIG 33 (sf).
