Description
The SOMUA S-35 was a medium tank developed by the French and used by them during the Battle of France (in May 1940). After the Allied defeat (in 1940) many of these tanks were abandoned and captured intact by the Germans.
It was not until 1944, after “D” Day (Normandy landing) that Germany was forced to draw on all its available weapons, among these were the SOMUA, which were renamed Pz.Kpfw (Panzerkampfwagen) 35S739(f).
