Description

The Panther was a German-made medium tank that was in service during World War II. It belongs to the second generation of German tanks of the war, its development was carried out by the MAN company during the years 1941 and 1942.

The Panther’s combat debut took place during the battle of Kursk (in the spring of 1943) where it had a shaky start because it had not been tested sufficiently before entering combat, which resulted in numerous mechanical failures. During the rest of the war it remained in service and, once the initial problems were fixed, it proved to be one of the best tanks of the conflict.
