WCs were a series of trucks designed for the U.S. Army, by the Dodge Company, that entered service during World War II.
The WC 51 model was put into production in 1942, it was a fairly light and very popular vehicle during the war, of which up to a quarter of a million examples were produced.
The WC-51 was an all-terrain (4×4) truck and was powered by a 6-cylinder water-cooled gasoline engine. It was a reliable and robust truck, which led many of them to be used for various purposes, among them the transport of goods, troops and as a tractor for the transfer of light artillery pieces.
