The UAZ-469 was an all-terrain vehicle developed in the USSR that stood out for its endurance and reliability. Initially designed as a light military vehicle, it was noted for its robustness and ability to adapt to difficult terrain, which made it a very popular vehicle in the armed forces and also a civilian vehicle (although it was never open for sale to the general public, many of them came to this use after being employed in the military) very popular in rural and remote areas.
The UAZ 469 entered service in 1973 and remained in service until the mid-1980s. It was powered by a ZMZ-46844 4-cylinder in-line gasoline engine, which allowed it to reach speeds close to 90 km/h (56 mph).
