The T-34 tank design is considered possibly the most important of all time, with more than 84,000 units manufactured and innovative features.
The T-34/76 first saw action in late 1941, marking a significant advance in tank design. Its sturdy and functional structure, together with wide tracks, allowed it to face the difficult mud and snow conditions of the Eastern Front. This tank achieved the perfect combination of thick, sloped armor, an efficient gun, extreme robustness, reliability, ease of fabrication and maintenance.
German tanks fought in the cold conditions of the Eastern Front, with problems such as rubber coming off the drive wheels, slow engine starts that required gradual warm-ups, constant jamming of the machine guns, and the narrow tracks of the Panzer III and IV that caused them to sink in the snow and mud. In contrast, the T-34s outperformed the German vehicles, especially since the Luftwaffe was often unable to operate due to bad weather, which prevented them from harassing the Soviets.
This kit gives you the opportunity to assemble the tank as the T-34/76 of the 1941, 1942 or 1943 patterns, each with its distinctive turret features.
