The M-41 was a U.S. light tank, produced during the early 1950s to replace the M-24 Chafee. The M-41 weighed 23 tons, had a crew of 4 men (commander, gunner, driver and radio operator) and a maximum armor of 38mm. It was armed with a 76 mm gun and two Browning machine guns, a 12.5 mm M2 coaxial and a turret-mounted 7.62 mm M1919A4E1.
The M-41 fought in Vietnam, where it was deployed by the ARVN (Regular Army of the Republic of Vietnam), which had previously been rearmed by the United States. The use of the M41, however, had an irregular performance due to the tactics used in combat, which in some cases reduced the mobility of the tank and made it vulnerable to the Soviet T-54. The M-41 was also used as an infantry support tank, as for example in the capture of Da Nang, where it participated in the urban skirmishes of the battle.
Tamiya model includes 3 figures, the tank commander and 2 infantrymen.
