Description

The M3A3 was a light tank manufactured in the USA and distributed, due to trade agreements between the two countries, with their British allies (among others).

The British used the Stuarts in North Africa, where they participated in several of the British offensives in Libya. The operational record of the M3A3 was poor, largely because of the tactical use the British commanders made of their armored forces but also because of the 37 mm gun which was not effective enough to fight the German Panzer III and Panzer IV.
