Kubelwagen type 82 Afrika Korps Tamiya-35238

Description

The “Kübelwagen” proved especially effective in North Africa due to its simplicity of repair and efficient engine cooling. At the request of several units of the Africa Korps, since 1942, were incorporated specific “Continental” tires for use in the desert, because these tires were wider than usual, in this version of the “Kübelwagen” was adapted the space of the spare wheel on the hood of the car for transport.

Some “Kübelwagen” designed for combat in Africa continued in active service during the Italian campaign in 1943.
