Shortly after Hitler came to power in January 1933, the country’s rearmament policy was intensified and many of the factories that were building civilian vehicles were converted to producing military machinery. One of these vehicles was the 1.5tn light truck, the L2H43 of the Krupp company.
Mass-produced since 1943, the Krupp Protze truck was capable of transporting personnel or artillery pieces, had a 4-cylinder air-cooled engine and was able to reach top speeds close to 70 km/h. The version represented in this Tamiya 1/35 scale model was designed for the transport of the 3.7cm PaK 36 anti-tank gun, in addition to the piece could carry all its crew (driver and 5 people).
This vehicle was in service during the first years of the war and served in the battles of Poland, France, the Balkans and the invasion of the Soviet Union.
This Tamiya kit includes 4 figures.
