The King Tiger or Tiger II was a German heavy tank, evolution of the Tiger I, its most obvious external features were the sloping armor (following the same scheme as the Panther) and a more powerful gun.
One of the curiosities of this car is that the German High General Staff requested the development of the turret to the Porsche company and the Henschel company with the intention of keeping the best model. Porsche was so convinced that his design would be the one ultimately chosen that he was not content with just making the prototype, but completed 60 of these turrets. In the end, Henschel was the winning design, but the Porsche units were not discarded and were used to be mounted on 60 Tiger IIs.
