The type 82 “Kubelwagen” is one of the most famous military cars in history. It was designed by Ferdinand Porsche and manufactured by Volkswagen.

The project was born with the idea of making a simple car, with simple lines, easy and cheap to build and maintain. Thanks to its diesel engine with a capacity of 998 Cm3, the Kubelwagen could reach speeds close to 80 km/h.

The Kubelwagen was not equipped with 4-wheel drive, even so it was a car that had a very good development in all types of terrain, which made it to be present in all the battle fronts of the war and very often in unfavorable weather conditions. The Kubelwagen was armed with an MG34 or MG42 machine gun.
