New Italeri kit in tribute to the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
The Junkers Ju87B was one of the main ground bombers employed by the Germans during the early years of World War II. Although in many aspects the design of the JU87B was outdated by the time WWII started (for example the fixed landing gear or the riveted fuselage) it also incorporated features that made it an innovative aircraft in some aspects, such as its dive brakes that allowed it to recover from a dive attack even if the pilot had fainted.
The JU87B participated in the initial phases of the Battle of Britain, although it was soon withdrawn due to heavy losses suffered when facing the British Hurricanes and Spitfire.
