French Light Tank FT-17 (1st and 2nd G.M.) Meng-TS-008

Description

The FT 17 could be considered as the first modern tank in history, in the sense that its design moved away from the cubic structures of the first British and French tanks and took on characteristics of today’s battle tanks.

It is also the first carriage to incorporate a rotating turret, at first. The first version of this tank, reproduced in this kit by Meng, is with the cast turret, with some parts welded and minimizing the amount of rivets, however, this turret was expensive to produce so it was later replaced by another octagonal turret of riveted steel plates.
