The Caudron C 714 was a French-made fighter used by the French during World War II.
Just in the months before the outbreak of war and with war seeming imminent, the German General Staff requested the construction of a light fighter. The particularity of the C.714 was that it was assigned to Polish pilots who fought in the defense of France, once their country surrendered to the German occupation forces.
The operational history of this aircraft was short due to its problems (mainly related to engine power), which made it vulnerable compared to Luftwaffe fighters.
