The Fiat 508 Balilla was the most popular car produced in Italy during the 1930s. Equipped with a 4-cylinder, 1,100 cc engine, the 508C version was used as a platform for military use and, precisely from this variation, the Fiat 508 CM “Coloniale” was born, whose use was mainly intended for the transport of officers during the campaigns in North Africa (1940-1943), but also, due to its excellent performance, it was used for reconnaissance tasks.
